As it continues to shed basic cable customers, selling high-speed data has become Time Warner Cable's (NYSE: TWC) "anchor service," according to CEO Glenn Britt. "Clearly the relative importance of the video business has declined over time," Britt told The Wall Street Journal. Britt also downplayed the threat posted from over-the-top video providers, and said he supported limiting the next-day streaming of new episodes of TV series to pay TV customers.
