Cable One engineers continue to evaluate the crippling damage a deadly tornado caused to its Joplin, Mo. network infrastructure and have no timeline by which service might be restored, a company spokeswoman told the Joplin Globe.
"The situation is somewhat murky," Melany Stroupe, Cable One's public information officer told the newspaper. "There are still some areas that we can't get into."
The deadly tornado, which ripped through the town Sunday, destroyed poles and a "major node of service," the newspaper said. Stroupe said the cable company is working with the local electric company because "without power, there's no cable."
