Comcast to lay off 260 employees in Orlando

Comcast (Nasdaq: CMCSA) notified officials in Florida earlier this week that it will cut 260 employees from a facility in Orlando.

While the MSO didn't describe the positions that will be eliminated in a notice it filed at the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity, the address for the location is for a call center.

The MSO has cut more than 1,000 employees at call centers in several states in the last year, including California and Illinois. It's also beefed up staffing at other call centers, including a facility in its home state of Pennsylvania.
