FTC reportedly probing Google on anti-trust issues, says it might have improperly favored Android

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has launched a probe into possible anti-trust violations by Google (NASDAQ: GOOG).

According to Bloomberg, which cites unnamed sources, the FTC has made an agreement with the Justice Department to move forward into an investigation of the technology giant's business. The report said FTC officials have met with Google representatives who say the company gives priority to its own services, such as search, maps and Android, while restricting others. 

The inquiry is in the beginning phases, said the report, which is fully abstracted here by FierceWireless.
