Soccer channel beIN Sport said it is expanding to the web and mobile devices, announcing TV Everywhere authentication deals Thursday with Time Warner Cable (NYSE: TWC) and Bright House Networks.
The network, which is also distributed by Verizon's (NYSE: VZ) FiOS TV and Liberty Global's (Nasdaq: LBTYA) Liberty Cablevision system in Puerto Rico, said it expects to reach similar agreements with other affiliates "in the coming months."
Subscribers who use the multiplatform version of beIn Sport will be able to receive emails 30 minutes before games kick off, according to the network, which is owned by Qatar-based Al Jazeera Media Networks.
While beIn Sport focuses primarily on soccer, the network covers other international sporting events, including the Giro d'Italia and the FIM Superbike World Championship.
