Time Warner Cable promotes Leddy to EVP, corporate strategy

Time Warner Cable (NYSE: TWC) said that it promoted 32-year company veteran Kevin Leddy to EVP, corporate strategy.

Leddy, who had been EVP of technology policy and product management, will continue to lead technology policy and strategy, and will also be responsible for enterprise-wide business strategy, the MSO said. He reports to Peter Stern, Time Warner Cable's  EVP and chief strategy, people and corporate development officer.

Leddy has helped Time Warner Cable introduce advanced digital video products such as "Start Over" and "Look Back," and could help the nation's second largest cable MSO develop a network-based DVR and other new services. Leddy joined Time Warner Cable predecessor Warner Amex Cable in 1980, and was named chief marketing officer in 1990. The MSO assigned Leddy to product management and strategic planning positions in 1999.

"Kevin is an experienced, accomplished and acknowledged leader in technology, marketing, product management and strategy. He is the ideal person to lead overall strategy for Time Warner Cable," Stern said in Monday's announcement.
