Time Warner Cable technicians rescue kitten in Texas

Time Warner Cable (NYSE: TWC) technicians were called by firefighters in San Antonio, Texas, on Saturday to help rescue a kitten that was stuck in a cable PVC pipe, the MSO detailed in a blog post Monday.

The drama began when a resident at an apartment complex called the fire department to report that she heard the cries of a kitten. Time Warner Cable said it was contacted by the fire department after firefighters were unable to rescue the kitten after about an hour. In addition to the kitten, the PVC pipe contained cables that were connected to an amplifier box, according to Time Warner.

While initial attempts from TWC field technicians to rescue the kitten by tying food to a sheet lowered into the PVC pipe failed, technicians Scott Bird and Matt Williams returned early Sunday. Their second attempt, which involved designing a makeshift harness, proved to be successful.
