ESPN Debuts New Campaign for WatchESPN: The Clutch Way to Watch
ESPN today announced its newest brand campaign for WatchESPN across television and digital platforms focusing on what WatchESPN delivers: anytime, anywhere access to clutch moments in sports as they happen on smartphones, tablets and laptops. The first spots to launch the campaign include "What is WatchESPN" and "Clutch in the Office."
The campaign – titled "The Clutch Way to Watch" – introduces viewers to Vic and Steve, the superfan everymen who live to watch big moments in sports and celebrate all things clutch, no matter where they are. With new-found access to their favorite sports, Steve and Vic credit WatchESPN for being a game-changer for sports fans and the leading destination for sports on the go. ESPN collaborated with award-winning creative team James Blagden and Chris Isenberg of artist collective "No Mas" to bring the campaign to life and deliver their unique illustrative style previously seen in ESPN's documentary series 30 for 30 and on Grantland.com.
The first flight of the campaign, debuting on ESPN networks today through Mar. 17, will showcase what's clutch about WatchESPN during the college basketball season and through Championship Week. Later this year, the spots will feature clutch moments for fans of football, motorsports, tennis, X Games and more. The campaign will extend across all of ESPN's digital platforms including websites, mobile and social.
In the coming weeks, fans and followers on Facebook and Twitter will have an opportunity to be a part of the campaign itself by sharing their most clutch moments in watching sports with WatchESPN.
ESPN worked in collaboration with 72andSunny on the campaign.
