IFC PROMOTES COLIN MOORE TO VICE PRESIDENT, DIGITAL MEDIA & ALTERNATIVE CONTENT

NEW YORK, NY—January 14, 2013 – IFC has promoted Colin Moore to vice president, digital media & alternative content, from director, effective immediately.  Based in the network's NYC office, Moore will report to IFC's SVP of Marketing, Blake Callaway.

Moore is responsible for extending IFC's "slightly off" sensibility to the digital world, overseeing strategy and operations for IFC.com, mobile applications, and partner websites that feature IFC content.  He also oversees original content creation for IFC.com including web series like "Reggie Makes Music" which was created to support the network's original series Comedy Bang! Bang!  Additionally, he oversees the development and implementation of IFC's social media strategy to engage viewers around IFC's off-beat original comedies.

During his tenure as director of digital media, Moore was a key architect in redesigning IFC.com, including content creation, syndication and fulfillment, as well as social media efforts. He is credited with developing and launching new technologies for IFC including the network's first second-screen experience, "Sync," a Portlandia "More Likes, More Portlandia" Facebook campaign and the recent "Kumail Nanjiani Tours Portlandia" web series.

Previously, Moore served as director of programming for Lifeskool/Sportskool where he conceptualized, developed and oversaw production of original series for AMC Networks' suite of VOD channels. Before joining AMC Networks, Moore worked in television production for various networks including VH1, MTV and Travel Channel.  Prior to working in the television industry, Moore worked in the music business for Epic Records and Island DefJam. Moore began his career in politics working on Capitol Hill.

Moore earned his bachelor's degree in political science at the College of William & Mary.
