Solekai Systems licenses Comcast's Reference Development Kit to integrate into the development of next-generation media gateways and peripherals.

(Solekai) announced today that it has licensed the Reference Development Kit (RDK) from Comcast Corp (CMCSA) and is providing expertise for rapid platform porting and integration activities. The RDK is a full-featured software bundle based on industry standards intended to accelerate the development of next-generation set-top boxes. Solekai, an engineering services company specializing in STB and digital video solutions, will support the implementation of the RDK in set-top development, multiscreen integration and bitstream testing solutions.
