Multiple channel views seem to be all the rage lately, and Cablevision's Optimum iO service offers a view of nine--count ‘em, nine different channels on its QuickView feature. That's a fast way to cover all the sports channels, including The Ocho.
iO TV's Shortcuts, its interactive applications feature, is accessed with a single-touch button on the remote control.
Last fall, Cablevision began testing interactive advertising with Optimum Select--subscribers responding to a screen prompt during a 30-second commercial could order free product samples and coupons from advertisers. Phase two of the Optimum Select offering, dubbed Optimum Select Content Saving, allows subscribers to save "long form video assets" to a folder accessed via their online account.
Cablevision this month began trialing a PC to TV Media Relay Service--subscribers can push digital content like photos, videos, and documents to their DVR for viewing on their television.
