AT&T expands U-verse TV rollout in Texas

AT&T (NYSE: T) launched its U-verse TV and U-verse Internet services in Brenham, Texas, earlier this week. The telco will challenge incumbent cable operator Suddenlink Communications in Brenham.

While Verizon (NYSE: VZ) has halted new deployments for its FiOS TV and FiOS Internet services, AT&T continues to hit the accelerator on U-verse expansion. AT&T signed 176,000 new U-verse TV customers during the third quarter, growing its subscriber base to 3.6 million.
