Panasonic EVP Bob Perry probably made few friends in the cable industry when he joked at the TV of Tomorrow Show that Wall Street bankers might be more popular than cable executives.

"There is (sic) over a hundred million households yearning to be free," Perry said, while noting that cable has a business model that nobody wants. He also warned that other industries--telcos and power utilities, to name two--have faced governmental regulations in the past so cable should be careful.
