There's good news for hockey fans who, even with giant flat screen TVs can't seem to pick up the puck during televised hockey. Cablevision will be broadcasting next Wednesday's brawl--err, hockey game--between the Rangers and Islanders in 3D on the MSG HD Network.

This story, though, leans somewhat heavily to the bad-news-strings-attached side. To watch the game you must be a Cablevision Optimum Rewards customer with a subscription to MSG HD since the game is being broadcast on a new 3D channel. And, of course, you need to own one of those new 3D TVs that started shipping only this month. Oh, and you need a Scientific-Atlanta (Cisco) set-top because only those will be 3D-ready in time. And, of course, you'll need a pair of those silly and expensive 3D glasses.
