Cablevision sells Ethernet connection to New Jersey high school

Cablevision's (NYSE: CVC) Optimum Lighpath subsidiary said it struck a deal with Morris Catholic High School in New Jersey to supply it with an Ethernet connection that has helped the school offer students new services, interactive white boards, Apple iPhone and Google Android apps, and a school podcast. The school, which plans to supply iPads to every student, said that Optimum has provided it with a more reliable Internet service than its previous provider. But it didn't name the previous provider. "We knew that we had to make a big change to our network infrastructure in order to introduce new technology-based learning initiatives for our students," Morris Catholic president Michael St. Pierre said in a statement provided by Optimum.
