Clearwire expects to add 1.9M subscribers in Q3
Signaling increased sales of 4G mobile hotspots at Comcast (Nasdaq: CMCSA), Time Warner Cable (NYSE: TWC) and other wholesalers, Clearwire (Nasdaq: CLWR) said Thursday that it expects to add 1.9 million net wholesale subscribers in the third quarter.

In addition to supplying its 4G wireless broadband network to Comcast and Time Warner Cable, Clearwire has wholesale deals with Sprint (NYSE: S), Locus Telecommunications, Cbeyond (Nasdaq: CBEY), Mitel and Best Buy.
Time Warner Cable is marketing a mobile hotspot device called Intelligo which relies on Clearwire's 4G network, while Comcast uses Clearwire to support its Xfinity Internet 2Go service.
Clearwire said wholesale subscriber additions in the third quarter are expected to increase by 29 percent compared to the second quarter. It expects to end Q3 with 9.5 million total subscribers.
The company said it expects to post $332 million in revenue in Q3, which would be an increase of 126 percent compared to the third quarter of 2010.
