Comcast pitches businesses 100 Mbps Internet access for $370 monthly
Boasting that can delivery speeds that are times faster than a T1 line, Comcast (Nasdaq: CMCSA) is pitching business customers Internet access speeds of up to 100 Mbps for $370 monthly.
The cable MSO began marketing its Comcast Business Class Internet Deluxe to commercial customers in Michigan earlier this week. It also recently began marketing the 100 Mbps service in Boston's Innovation District.
Businesses that don't want to shell out $370 monthly can order Comcast's Deluxe service, which offers speeds of 50 Mbps for $190 monthly, or its Premium tier, which delivers speeds of 22 Mbps for $100 monthly. Comcast also offers options to bundle basic cable and phone service with wideband Internet access.
Providing high-speed Internet access and phone service is one of the biggest areas of growth for Comcast and other cable MSOs. Comcast reported earlier this week that its business services unit posted revenue growth of 32 percent during the third quarter, and that commercial services are generating about $2 billion in annual revenue for the company.
