Cox Business to provide network feed for MDA Telethon

Cox Business is providing a 100 Mbps wired and wireless Internet connection for the administrative and production staff working the annual Jerry Lewis Muscular Dystrophy Association Telethon at the South Coast Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas Sept. 5 and 6. The contribution is valued at $90,000, Cox said.

The high-speed connection is essential for a live broadcast which can be "full of surprises," according to telethon producer Lee Miller, quoted in a Cox news release. "We rely on Cox Communications because our real-time dialog challenge gets multiplied by a factor exceeding 170 since that many television and cable stations across the country need to stay in constant contact with our production team."
