Cox opens hardware distribution center in Virginia
Cox Communications and Test Design Inc. opened a 72,000 square foot distribution center in Chesapeake, Va., Wednesday. The MSO said it signed CTDI to manage some of its supply chain functions, including equipment repair and provisioning.

Cox also has distribution centers for set-tops and other gear in Baton Rouge, Wichita, and Phoenix. The MSO said that CTDI installed four test systems at the facility that can test multiple set-tops simultaneously.
"This facility is the hub of our Cox Mid-Atlantic warehouse operations. Through this partnership, we will have more advanced supply chain capabilities and we are creating great economies of scale for our business," Cox Virginia senior VP and general manager Gary McCollum said in Wednesday's announcement.
