Cox's path to $2B in annual revenue from commercial services
In today's spotlight, FierceCable managing editor Samantha Bookman interviews Cox Business senior VP Phil Meeks about his strategy for growing the company's annual revenue to $2 billion by 2016. Meeks says Cox expects to generate strong growth from the healthcare sector and by providing cellular backhaul services. While Cox is focused primarily on small and mid-sized businesses that operate in Cox residential markets such as Phoenix and San Diego, he says the company is talking to other MSOs about they may be able to build partnerships that could allow cable operators to provide commercial services to large enterprise customers with nationwide operations.
