DirecTV, Time Warner Cable reportedly kicking tires at Hulu
Time Warner Cable's discussions are at an early stage, according to Bloomberg, which cited anonymous sources. DirecTV is considering buying "at least a stake," according to a separate report from Bloomberg which also cited anonymous sources.
Last October, Providence Equity Partners sold its 10 percent stake in Hulu to owners News Corp. (Nasdaq: NWSA), Walt Disney Co. (NYSE: DIS) and NBCUniversal. Hulu CEO Jason Kilar announced in January that he was resigning from the online video provider.
