A list of companies that includes Comcast (Nasdaq: CMCSA), DirecTV (Nasdaq: DTV), Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT), Motorola (NYSE: MMI) and many others has provided technology and equipment for the new Federal Communications Commission Technology Experience Center, which officially opens today at the FCC headquarters in Washington, D.C.

The center is intended to showase the latest developments in broadband and broadcast technology. NCTA president Michael Powell was expected to attend the formal opening of the center.
