After receiving 155 complaints from subscribers related to its cable service, cancelled appointments and pricing, Comcast (Nasdaq: CMCSA) has blanketed the city of Savannah, Ga., with a team of door-to-door customer service representatives.

Comcast officials say its efforts to knock on the doors of subscribers to ask they are happy with their service are related to its recent completion of a conversion to an all-digital programming lineup. But the city has been pressing Comcast to respond to service complaints, and the MSO says it will file a report with the city related to customer service and digital upgrade issues next week.

Savannah also plans to shine a spotlight on Comcast at some public meetings. It has asked the cable MSO to attend four town hall meetings that it has scheduled in February.

While Comcast faces competition from DirecTV (Nasdaq: DTV) and Dish Network (Nasdaq: DISH) in Savannah, it is the only cable operator that offers service in the city.
