Insight loses 13,600 subscribers in Q2
Insight Communications Co. lost 13,600 basic video subscribers during the second quarter, and said that its total number of customer relationships dropped by 16,200 to 759,400.
The cable MSO, which has been on the auction block, did not take any questions from analysts during a call it scheduled Thursday morning.
In addition to losing basic video subscribes, Insight reported a net loss of 4,600 phone customers. The good news: It reported a net gain of 6,200 digital video subscribers and a net gain of 1,800 high-speed Internet subscribers.
Insight ended the second quarter with 2.2 million total revenue generating units, an increase of 85,000, or 4 percent, from the second quarter of 2010.
