One could imagine violins playing and raspy voices whispering "it's only business" when Comcast (Nasdaq: CMCSA) Spotlight, the advertising and sales division of Comcast Cable and AT&T (NYSE: T) Advanced Ad Solutions, the telco's national advertising sales division, reached a cooperative agreement.

According to a news release, Comcast Spotlight will sell local advertising on U-Verse "on up to 50 leading ad-supported cable networks" in 21 markets ranging from Atlanta to West Palm Beach.

The news release quoted Greg McCastle, senior vice president of AT&T Advanced Solutions as saying he was "excited to be working with Comcast Spotlight ... to make AT&T's U-Verse TV inventory available to local market television advertisers through the Spotlight sales team."
