Missouri AG tells Mediacom to reimburse subscribers who suffer blackouts

Here's an item that the cable industry probably didn't want to see reported in a national publication aimed at lawyers. Missouri Attorney General Chris Koster sent a letter to Mediacom advising it to reimburse subscribers blacked out in a four-day retransmission spat between the MSO and KOMU-TV.

"It is just plain wrong to think that you can drop one of the major networks like BNC and maintain that the contract between the provider and the consumer hasn't materially changed to the detriment of the consumer," Koster's letter said according to a story in Legal Newsline.
