Once a cable guy, always a cable guy: CoBridge buys Charter properties

It's said that once you've lived in a seashore resort you have "sand in your shoes" and you'll never be able to escape. A similar thing might be true of cable TV; once you've been involved with cable you have coax for veins and you can't survive without it.

The latest example of that could be Charter Communications' (OTC BB: CCMM) sale of its cable systems in and around Benton, Ark. to CoBridge Communications, a company founded by former Broadwing Communications CEO Scott Widham. Broadwing was acquired by Level 3 Communications (Nasdaq: LVLT) in 2007 and since then CoBridge, under Widham's leadership, has been acquiring cable operations in Arkansas, Alabama, Texas, Missouri, Georgia, Louisiana and for some strange reason, Ohio.
