Time Warner Cable is going to give Verizon FiOS customers free unlimited use of its network content, including Turner network, TNT and TBS. The two companies shook hands and agreed that Verizon could carry HBO back in February.

Verizon customers who subscribe to both FiOS TV and FiOS Internet will be able to watch such TWC fare as "The Closer," "Southland," and "Leverage" on their PCs or laptops using "any broadband connection" as part of Time Warner's TV Everywhere scheme to give paying cable consumers free TV content--yes, there's a contradiction between paying consumers and free content--online.

Time Warner says that the service is available to almost 20 million customers through similar distribution deals. Verizon says it's working with other content providers to provide similar access.
