Privacy laws could hurt U.S. cloud vendors

Microsoft recently lost a contract with BAE Systems in the United Kingdom over concerns that it could be forced to turn over records from BAE users, and U.S. companies may not get a chance to bid on Dutch government contracts because of privacy concerns.
