Comcast will start adding an interactive program guide to its Cisco Systems set-top boxes starting in June in parts of Connecticut where it has been testing the service with employees. The box was developed by the Comcast-Rovi joint venture GuideWorks and has been available in Motorola boxes since 2005. It replaces the Cisco-supplied guide in Cisco markets.

Elsewhere in the guide business, Clicker, which is described as a search engine and programming guide for online video and television, unveiled Clicker.tv, "a beautiful new interface for clicker.com that's made for the 10-foot (TV) experience," according to Jim Lanzone, Clicker's chief executive.

Clicker has a catalog of Web video content including 650,000 television episodes from 10,000 shows and 30,000 movies available to view on TV. Clicker.tv uses a remote or wireless keyboard and a computer or laptop hooked directly into a television.
