Rovi has left the GuideWorks joint venture with Comcast and reworked its relationship with the MSO by expanding Comcast's license for patented Rovi products that run on mobile, online and other distribution platforms.

Comcast is now in sole control of GuideWorks, the interactive programming guide (IPG) venture formed in 2004. As it left GuideWorks, Rovi cemented a new relationship with the MSO to include its enhanced entertainment products.

Rovi said it will continue to distribute its i-Guide interactive program guide (IPG) to current customers, including providing whatever updates might be needed to keep the product current.
