Seven years after DirecTV (Nasdaq: DTV) stopped marketing TiVo (Nasdaq: TIVO) digital video recorders to its subscribers, TiVo said Thursday that a new TiVo HD DVR that features its classic user interface is now available nationwide in the satellite provider's homes. But DirecTV continues to market its own HD DVR, and doesn't yet include offers for the TiVo device on its website.

The TiVo box for DirecTV doesn't include the Premiere interface or access to online video content that RCN (Nasdaq: RCNI), Charter Communications (Nasdaq: CHTR), Suddenlink and other providers are offering subscribers. But the DVR does allow subscribers to record up to 100 hours of HD programming or 400 hours of standard-definition shows.
