Hey, Motorola (NYSE: MOT) and Cisco (Nasdaq: CSCO), check this out. The new Apple TV (Nasdaq: AAPL) is "dead easy to set up, absolutely tiny in size and a pleasure to use," according to a review by the unbiased Cult of Mac site, which also calls it "ridiculously priced at only $99." Balancing the review, however, the site also notes that "iTunes' movie selection still sucks; and the Apple TV won't play nice with popular Internet video formats like DivX or Avi."

According to conflicting reports the new unit is either shipping or delayed for two to three weeks.

Google TV (Nasdaq: GOOG) vendor Logitech, on the other hand, reportedly plans to ship 500,000 units of its Revue set-top box to retailers before the end of the year. "There is even word that some shipments are already making their way from Taiwan to the U.S. in anticipation of an early October release," reports Phandroid, a site devoted to Android (nee Google) fans.
