Verizon (NYSE: VZ) has expanded the number of networks that FiOS TV subscribers can access on applications for Microsoft's (Nasdaq: MSFT) Xbox and connected TVs from Samsung to 75.

The telco had previously offered just 26 networks through the Xbox app, which debuted in late 2011, and the Samsung app, which launched last August. The new channel lineup includes Comedy Central, Fox News Channel, HBO, Epix, TBS and other networks owned by Time Warner (NYSE: TWX), Viacom (NYSE: VIA), News Corp. (Nasdaq: NWSA), Discovery Communications (Nasdaq: DISCA) and NBCUniversal.

Verizon expanded the channel lineup on the Xbox in December, spokesman Phil Santoro told FierceCable. While Verizon never announced the Xbox lineup expansion, it detailed the updated Samsung app in an announcement on Monday.

Verizon launched an app for LG TVs in September that streams 75 networks. It is also selling FlexView video-on-demand titles through the LG and Samsung apps. FlexView titles aren't yet available on Verizon's Xbox app.

Comcast (Nasdaq: CMCSA) has said it plans to soon launch an Xfinity TV app for Samsung TVs.
