Canadian MSO Videotron says the only problem it's having with its version of TV Everywhere is overwhelming subscriber demand. The site, which gives Videotron subscribers access to online video through 32 channels, was shut down only hours after its launch because "it became so popular," according to Marc Labelle, the service providers general manager of corporate communications.

"We actually tripled what we expected to be the demand for that day," Labelle continued. "It was exceptional."

The service was shut down from 1 p.m. Wednesday to 11 a.m. Thursday last week so engineers could make adjustments to handle the higher than expected demand. While there have been some problems reported since, Labelle, said they're probably just because the user has an old computer. The service itself, he said, is working just fine.
