Visible World powers targeted promos for Cox
Cox Communications said it is using Visible World's targeted advertising technology to market its digital cable, high-speed Internet and voice products to subscribers.
The MSO said it will use Visible World's Conductor product, which allows marketers to target ads at specific neighborhoods and households based on demographic and psychographic data. Cablevision (NYSE: CVC) is also using Visible World to deliver targeted advertising in the New York area, a Visible World spokesman said.
Conductor is a Web-based advertising campaign management system. While Visible World has positioned the product as a tool that automotive companies and other brand marketers can use to deliver targeted advertising to cable subscribers, the Cox deal shows that the technology can also be used to deliver targeted promos for advanced cable services.
