WICT recruiting top women cable execs for Stanford program
Women in Cable Telecommunications said it is recruiting senior women cable executives to attend a week-long educational program at Stanford Graduate School of Business in March.
WICT spokesman Talton Gibson said tuition for the WICT Senior Executive Summit is $9,850, and that it plans to accept 45 applicants. The Summit, which will run from March 10 to 14 at Stanford's Knight Management Center in Palo Alto, Calif., replaces another program that WICT put on hiatus in 2010.
"After extensive research and input from top industry leaders, we reengineered our former summit and brought on one of the country's most reputable business schools in Stanford," Gibson told FierceCable. "The content will be customized by Stanford in partnership with WICT and will be specifically geared toward the cable industry, focusing on issues relevant to strategic leadership and top-level development," he added.
WICT set a Dec. 17 deadline for applicants to submit registrations that have been approved by their companies. The tuition fee covers curriculum materials, on-campus lodging and meals, WICT said.
