Its updated video "end screen" features a grid displaying a dozen thumbnails for videos that users will see once a video finishes playing. YouTube hopes the change will drive increased usage on the site, which is already the most popular online video destination.
According to ComScore, YouTube and other sites owned by Google (Nasdaq: GOOG) generated 162 million unique viewers in August.
YouTube also tweaked its playlist bar to display more details from individual videos included in a playlist, and it updated the charts it produces that allow users to track the most popular videos of the day, and the most popular videos of the week, month and all time.
