Apparently the buttoned-down folks at Comcast (Nasdaq: CMCSA) forgot to apply a gag rule when they removed Jeffrey Zucker from their NBCUniversal payroll. And the man is just a chatterbox about old NBC business.

Zucker's latest revelation, delivered at a talk sponsored by the Shorenstein Center at Harvard, is that NBC tried for 18 months to buy Huffington Post (acquired by AOL for $315 million) but the two could "never agree on price." He didn't say whether those 18 months were part of the long, long approval process time as Comcast took over the peacock network.
