Sony PlayStation Vue has added Hallmark Channels, as well as nearly a dozen NBC and Fox local affiliates.

Poking its head out to fire a round in the superheated battle for virtual MVPD bundle supremacy, Sony has announced that its PlayStation Vue service has added Hallmark channels, as well as nearly a dozen Fox and NBC affiliates.

The flagship Hallmark Channel in HD will be added to all three Vue tiers, with Hallmark Movies & Mysteries and Hallmark Drama joining the midtier Elite and the high-end Ultra packages.

Additionally, Vue has added five local NBC channels in Green Bay-Appleton, Wisconsin; Kansas City, Missouri; Milwaukee; Nashville, Tennessee; and San Antonio, Texas.

Fox stations have been added to Vue in Boston; Buffalo, New York; Green Bay; Jacksonville, Florida; New Orleans; and Cincinnati. Sony said that Vue now has access to 225 local channels.

The programming additions come as Sony finishes the task of bringing Vue’s national footprint to standard pricing across three tiers.

In July, Sony announced that it was eliminating the $29.99 “Slim” package that was available in some regions. As Cord Cutter News reported, Slim customers are currently being told that, starting this month, they will be shifted to the $39.99 “Core” package.

Nearly three years after launch, Sony has yet to announce a subscriber count for Vue.
