CBS Interactive’s Advanced Media and Sidearm Sports are partnering up to run more than 1,100 college and high school athletic websites and stream more than 14,000 live events each year.

Sidearm will contribute its content management and delivery systems, mobile platform and creative design solutions, while CBS Interactive Advanced Media will chip in its video streaming capabilities and video distribution for live events.

Schools working with the companies will get distribution on CBS Sports Digital’s subscription streaming service SportsLive and, in addition, will have monetization opportunities across other platforms. The live events produced by CBS Interactive will stream both on SportsLive and the schools’ sites.

The Pay TV Show

The new meeting ground for video programming distributors!

At The Pay TV Show, taking place May 14-16 in Denver, we'll look at the innovative technologies, strategies, and business models that cable, telecom, tech, and media companies are using to compete in what has become a very disrupted marketplace.

Sidearm will manage the website and mobile platforms while providing the hosting and infrastructure for all of the schools. CBS Interactive Advanced Media will manage video infrastructure and distribution as well as end-to-end advertising operations for all of the schools, according to a news release.
