LAS VEGAS—Fox Sports is jumping into a strategic partnership with OEM Hisense to provide an enhanced viewing experience leading up to and during the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
Hisense will offer consumers access to the World Cup content through the Fox Sports GO: 2018 FIFA World Cup Edition app, which in the spring will be preloaded exclusively on select Hisense smart TV models
"The FOX Sports GO: 2018 FIFA World Cup Edition app will bring incredible soccer moments to life with multiple match feeds and viewing angles, a behind-the-scenes look at the development of future legends of the game, and most importantly, amazing picture quality," said Mark Viken, vice president of marketing at Hisense USA, in a statement.
Through the app, Hisense customers can access multiple Fox Sports digital feeds, including the ability to choose from a variety of live viewing angles during games, such as feeds that focus on specific teams or aerial views. The app will feature live games and near-real-time highlights from 37 customizable camera angles and original soccer content, according to a news release. The content will be available in 4K.
