Sports-focused streaming service fuboTV is expanding its channel lineup to include an “Adventure Plus” package that will be priced at $4.99 per month.
The new channel package will include the MAVTV Motorsports Network, the Outdoor Channel, Sportsman Channel, World Fishing Network and Outside TV. The new additions build on fubo’s sports programming offerings, which the virtual MVPD said make up more than half of its 65-channel bundle.
FuboTV comes with a seven-day trial and the first month of the Premier bundle is priced at $19.99. After that the cost per month goes up to $44.99.
FuboTV has also been building up its general entertainment channel lineup. Earlier this month, the service added AMC Networks’ suite of channels, including the flagship AMC as well as BBC America, Sundance, IFC and WE tv.
Also this month, fuboTV added some updates to its Roku app. New features include: the ability to continue watching VOD content from where you left off; a new EPG with 7-day lookahead; updated network pages; and a “What’s New” card that gives users a tutorial of new features every time the app is upgraded.
FuboTV is one of the smaller vMVPDs among a rather large field of competitors including Sling TV, DirecTV Now, Hulu, YouTube TV and PlayStation Vue. But fuboTV has still found ways to grow, announcing late last year that it had reached the 100,000 subscriber mark.
"We are pleased to have surpassed the symbolic 100,000-subscriber milestone so quickly—following investments in national and regional sports networks, and the infrastructure to support this expanded array of premium content," said fuboTV cofounder and CEO David Gandler in a statement. "Given macro tailwinds driven by a fundamental change in consumer behavior, we anticipate the next 100,000 subscribers to join FuboTV at an accelerating pace."
