Comcast Cable CEO Neil Smit sells $920,000 in stock

Comcast Cable Communications (Nasdaq: CMCSA) CEO Neil Smit sold $927,627 in Comcast stock, the nation's largest cable MSO disclosed Monday.

According to a Securities and Exchange Commission filing, Smit sold 24,360 shares of Class A stock on Friday with an average price of $37.79. Comcast said Smit sold the shares in "multiple trades at prices ranging from $37.62 to $37.96."

Following the sale, Smit still owns 66,135 Class A shares of Comcast stock, according to the SEC filing.

Comcast promoted Smit to CEO of its Comcast Cable unit last fall. The former Navy SEAL received $18.5 million in total compensation in 2011, including a salary of $1.5 million, according to a proxy statement Comcast filed at the SEC in April.
