Comcast (Nasdaq: CMCSA) EVP David Cohen and National Cable & Telecommunications Association CEO Michael Powell are among the industry executives scheduled to discuss gun violence with Vice President Biden on Thursday, according to The Hill.
Biden has been leading a task force that was created after the mass shooting last month at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn. In addition to pushing for tougher gun laws, the task force is expected to address violence in TV, movies and videogames.
Biden is also expected to meet with National Association of Broadcasters CEO Gordon Smith, National Association of Theater Owners CEO John Fithian and Motion Picture Association of America CEO Chris Dodd.
