Comcast Cable has announced the promotion of its top video executive, Matt Strauss, putting all residential products under his purview.

Strauss now has the title of executive VP of Xfinity Services, broadening his job description from his previous perch as EVP of video and entertainment services. In his new role, Strauss will oversee Comcast Xfinity-branded video, internet, home automation and voice services. He’ll continue to report to Comcast Cable CEO Dave Watson.

The company credits Strauss with leading the MSO through a period of “unprecedented results” on the video side, with the operator ending 2016 with video subscriber growth for the first time in a decade.
