Women in Cable Telecommunications said Thursday that it elected Suddenlink Communications EVP and CFO Mary Meduski to serve a two-year term as chair of the board. Cox VP of content acquisition Kathy Payne, its previous chair, will serve a one-year term as immediate past chair.
WICT said board member Marva Johnson, who is corporate VP of government and industry affairs at Bright House Networks, was moved up to its executive committee and will serve as chapter development chair. It also named three new directors-at-large: Cisco (Nasdaq: CSCO) VP of U.S. cable segment Marc Aldrich, Cox SVP of law and policy Jennifer Hightower and Crown Media Family Networks EVP of marketing and creative services Susanne McAvoy.
The organization said Turner Broadcasting System VP of network partnerships Barbara Linebarger will serve a one-year director-at-large role as chapter leader designee, and that Comcast (Nasdaq: CMCSA) Director of software platform and engineering Jacquelyn Smith will serve as emerging leader designee.
