U.S. cable and satellite providers may be able to deliver 3D video from the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, if BBC moves forward on plans to shoot some of the competitions in 3D. BBC executive Roger Mosey said that 3D coverage of the Olympics is "certainly on the agenda" as part of a "limited experiment." BBC also plans to test a new "super hi-vision" broadcasting technology that isn't expected to be available in homes for a decade, according to a Guardian article.
