The annual conference of the National Cable Television Cooperative (NCTC) and the American Cable Association (ACA) is being held in San Francisco this week. Among issues to be discussed are the pros and cons of metered broadband usage, the increasingly difficult relations between distributors and programmers and the future direction of pay TV subscriber numbers.

Also, Rich Fickle will make his stage debut as the NCTC's new CEO. However, the most interesting stage moment of the conference should be Mark Cuban's speech today. The HDNet founder is also the famous and infamous owner of the NBA Champion Dallas Mavericks. Will he bring the O'Brien trophy? Will he kick sand in LeBron's eyes? We can only hope for both.
